Thinking about a future in agriculture, land management or a hands-on rural career?
Now’s your chance to get the head start you deserve.
The Bellinger River Agricultural Society is proud to offer a scholarship of up to $5,000 for Bellingen Shire residents, or students attending an educational facility in the Bellingen Shire, aged 15–20 who are ready to take the next step in their education, training or career pathway.
You can apply if you’re currently enrolled in—or planning to enrol in—study or training related to:
Agriculture
Land management and environmental stewardship
Rural industries
Rural trades
Agricultural sustainability
Other training connected to working on the land or supporting regional communities
The scholarship can be used for course fees, learning materials, tools, equipment or other essential education and training costs.
Applicants should demonstrate a clear passion or commitment to their chosen field—whether through study, community involvement, volunteering, work experience, or personal initiative. Selection is based on merit and demonstrated enthusiasm; financial need is not a requirement.
This scholarship is made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of our Bellingen Show sponsors, especially Warren Weick Real Estate, our 2026 Principal Partner. It reflects our commitment to supporting young people who are shaping the future of our rural community.
Applications close in March 31 2026, and the recipient will be announced at the Official Luncheon during the Bellingen Show.
If you’ve been thinking about a career in agriculture, land care, rural industries or the trades, we encourage you to apply below —whatever your background or starting point.
