Join us at the Sewing Station + Textile Waste Pile — a treasure trove of textile waste from unwanted clothing to curtains, fabrics-lace, denim, tapestry and quirky offcuts — just waiting for community creators to turn it into something fabulous

Spend Saturday cutting, creating, stitching, draping (or just winging it!) alongside friendly mentors who’ll guide you every step of the way.

No experience? Perfect.

All ages. All genders. All levels.

Then on Sunday, Community Creators it’s time to strut your stuff as your creations hit the Red Carpet Runway in the Entertainment Tent— and have loads of fun. 

Great prizes up for grabs for the most creative, bold and imaginative looks. (turn a shoe into a hat!) 

TGFSU is all about diverting textile waste from landfill into “wow, I made this!” moments—while raising awareness about a growing problem. In Australia, over 200,000 tonnes of clothing end up in landfill every year… let’s change that, one stitch at a time.
